Buy your ticket today! This is an awesome awesome event. The best dancers in the world get together and throw down. And they always get the best bands for ULHS. Iowa is so lucky to be so close to Minneapolis.

I had a blast the past two years I've gone. I highly recommend it to anyone regardless of skill level. Even if you don't enter any of the contests it will still be an amazing experience.

Showdown is excellent, even for a non-competitor like me! The social dancing is just some of the best I've ever experienced. Shed that husk of self-awareness, peel off that rind of worrying about if you're good enough to be there and slather yourself in guts, glory and the satisfaction that a kickass band is playing and everyone here wants to dance all night.

That's what makes Showdown fun for me.
