I'm working on a FREE Welcome Week Dance Party Project but I need your votes. We are getting a bunch of UI dance groups together to teach, perform and throw a dance for students. UI Breakers, Swing, Hip-hop and more are already involved. There are six proposals and my group needs to accumulate 200 votes. check out the website below for all the details. This project could be part of the Fall Fling so if you want to check out a kick ass cheap event, then Vote!

And I got all excited because I thought at first that this was a World of Warcraft Dance Party. I was so excited to dress up like my tauren druid and do some peanut buttah jelly time.

We made it to Round 2!

Because of the last minute push, our project was placed first for round one but now we begin round 2! We have two more weeks of voting. Voting ends April 9th. Here is the new link.

I realize this is getting tedious but please continue to vote every day.
Members from the welcome week committee and the IMU will be judging these projects as well, so we need all the support we can find. Please invite your friends to be a part of this.

There will be an article about this project in the Gazette tomorrow, as well as articles in The DI and a local arts business journal in the next few days. I will let you know when they come out.

Hey Cats!

The WoW Dance Party is on and is replacing the "Fall Swing Fling" in name. This is not your regular Swing Weekend. We are gonna get funky! We will have classes in Swing, Blues and Hip Hop and we will have a great R&B/Funk Band. Help us welcome all the new students to the University of Iowa with the Dance Party!
